![]() ![]() However one thing you're not taking into account is that this is a company. ![]() Yes, it's true that most people pay for membership. wil rise at first but not many ppl if any will stay after they find out they only can play 5% of the game without forking over a subscription. I dont see this games population growing very much if any from coming to steam the pop. Also i see ppl talking about buying time with ingame currency but that is just a carrot on a stick no new player will be able to afford to buy sub with ingame currency unless they want their entire gameplay farming for 10 hours a day for a week sub and then with that week sub their whole time is agaiin just trying to farm for enough currency to buy another week instead of enjoying the game there is a reason that all the good reviews for this game so far have been by ppl that already play the game. This on my phone lol.Īnd this is the kinda attitude that will help keep ppl from coming to dofus oh you dont like the game i like let me brush you off with an insult like a child would do. Should jump to the free two play train but if it happens ill still subscribe. Now its not as popular but thats becauee of unwanted changes and lack of support and content. To have a choice they would be more likely to spend. Than they are currently requiring It to be pay to play. dofus would probably make even more money. Access to areas first before they come out. Kinda like wakfu did with the xp bonus kama bonus and what not. However although im not for it if dofus was free to play they could start working on packs that allowed players access to. Later on it can be because you can subscribe using in game currency. I do agree that they need to change it because it is not free to play like it says. No other games on the market take this limited route on content these days.Īnd if they do it's generally a seperate Demo experience for a Buy2Play game or something.ĭofus is one of the few games i've played that was this limited for a Free player, it's no surprise that people would be upset and feel tricked by the lack of explanation and inaccurate use of the F2P term. Which is kind of stupid since now they run 2 instances of Dofus but one is F2P and the other is P2P seperated by platform choice (and a few version updates) They learned when it came to games like Wakfu or Dofus Touch which are true F2P titles under their production. They have failed to update with the times as Free 2 Play games became more popular and ultimatly the main source of MMO's on the market. Yes there's a extremly limited demo like experience and it's free, but that isn't really what Free to Play means. The problem here is Dofus is label Free to Play when it's not. Thats $0 we could have spent on absolutely nothing." What are they losing, what is the point of these posts like you think Ankama is just going "Oh no I lost a customer worth literally $0. Okay then? What does it matter if you aren't willing to pay to play more of the game and support it by that point then I don't see why Ankama should care. I logged out and unistalled within 30 seconds. ![]() Unlocked Haven Bag access and saw that I had to subscribe to use it and access "other areas". Początkowo opublikowane przez WireDawg:I didn't see the tag and played the game until I reached lvl 10. ![]() It is also worth noting that Ogrines obtained through the Kama Exchange do expire after a period of time (30-60 days or something i forget) so don't forget about them. (though for those new F2P players this might prove difficult to initially obtain due to limitations and current economy on servers when it comes to merching) There is also the Kama Exchange that allows you to trade Kama to Ogrines (the cash shop curreny) or vice versa, so if you manage to make a lot of Kama it would be possible to purchase and maintain a subscription by trading Kama to Ogrines. Luckily a monthly Subscription is cheaper than most Subscription based MMORPG's on the market currently so it is more accessable if you're on a budget. You won't be able to do anything outside these area's until you obtain a subscription. It's more like a Trial/Demo experience that limits/confines you to a small portion of the game world (Incarnam/Astrub) and from certain features and progression. That see the Free 2 Play tag and expect a standard F2P experience, let it be known.ĭofus is NOT a standard Free To Play MMORPG. To those new players from Steam that have never played Dofus before. ![]()
