![]() Make sure that you use the same mode on all computers to allow ShareMouse translating the keys properly. This mode is toggled by pressing the Fn-key (bottom left of most keyboards). The top row of keys on your keyboard can either control built-in features (volume, brightness, etc) or be used as standard function keys (F1-F12). Windows distinguishes those keys, if Windows is running on both computers. ShareMouse for Mac does not distinguish between left and right SHIFT/CMD/CTRL keys. You can also drag & drop files or transfer the clipboard between computers. To cancel remote control, move back the mouse to the controlling PC or press the "panic" key (default hotkey is 2x ESC). Windows only: ShareMouse requires a short time to switch between user sessions if you remote control a remote application that runs with administrative rights of if you control a UAC dialog. ShareMouse can optionally remap Windows and Command keys. To remotely enter the char on a Mac, you would need to press ALT- L on the Windows PC. Windows vs Mac keyboards differ: For example, to remotely enter the in Windows from a Mac, you would need to press CONTROL- OPTION- Q on the Mac. The mouse cursor then magically jumps to the display of the remote computer, allowing you to control programs on that remote computer with the mouse and keyboard of the controlling computer.
